Activities Assistant (Resident Services Assistant)We are looking for Part-Time or Full-Time Activities Assistant (Resident Services Assistant). This is a great first step for those looking to enter the healthcare industry. This position has primary responsibility for completing delegated tasks associated with the hospitality programming needs of the residents, including activities, dining and housekeeping. Must have or willing to have current Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification. It is expected that every employee will seek out educational opportunities and take any necessary steps to stay current in their professional field of expertise. Duties and Responsibilities This position has primary responsibility for completing delegated tasks associated with the hospitality programming needs of the residents, including but not limited to: Activities: Assist the Resident Services Director to develop and implement a schedule of social activities to strengthen and enhance the social, physical, and mental skills of the residents. Work with Resident Services Director to plan, create, and publish the activity calendar and newsletter monthly for distribution to the residents and staff. Initiate motivation of residents to increase desire to participate in activities, while being aware of limitations of each resident. Supervise and participate in activities, which includes preparations, participation, clean up, and compliance with safety regulations. Posts monthly activity calendars and communicates activities to residents, families, staff and other visitors by maintaining an attractive bulletin board, newsletter, announcements, and invitations to all events. Handle incoming phone calls, greet and assist residents and visitors entering the building. Help the Resident Services Director to maintain a well-organized and labeled event decorations and supplies in storage. Respond to resident needs for assistance, as appropriate. Utilizes the electronic medical records system to track resident attendance to activities. Sweep and mop the dining room twice daily following breakfast and dinner meals. Clean and water plants weekly and as needed. Clean inside and outside of washers and dryers and empty lint traps daily. Check for marks on walls throughout facility daily; clean as necessary. Identify potential maintenance issues and submit work orders. Demonstrate safe and proper techniques for use of chemicals and cleaning solutions. Responsible for obtaining cleaning supplies, stocking cart and maintaining clean, neat and orderly cart and storage area. Full Time CookWe are looking for a Full-Time Cook. There are no late nights and we have set meal times and menus. You would be cooking for between 25-40 seniors from a predetermined menu.
